Fallon's New Principal Input Community Meeting
We will be holding a Principal input meeting in the Fallon Middle School Library on Wednesday, March 20th at 6:00 p.m. for you to share the skills, characteristics, and qualities you would like to see in your new principal. This is an open meeting for the Fallon Middle School Community so no RSVP is needed. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to share your input, please feel free to email Jaci Bearden at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Coffee with Principal Sweeney
Principal Sheri Sweeney requests the pleasure of your company this Friday morning, March 22nd, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Fallon Middle School for an informal coffee hour and conversation. Ms. Sweeney will provide updates about events happening at Fallon and in our DUSD community. She will also be happy to answer your questions about programs and other topics of interest.
Traffic Safety Volunteers - March Signups

Dublin Youth Advisory Council
Each year the Dublin City Council appoints students to the Youth Advisory Committee and the Student Representative to the Parks and Community Services Commission. Applications are now being accepted for the 2019-2020 school year. The Youth Advisory Committee is a 12-month assignment commencing June 1 and terminating on the following May 31. The Advisory Committee is composed of up to sixteen middle and high school students. Advisory Committee Members are required to attend the meetings held on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM. The online applications for Youth Advisory Committee and the Parks and Community Services Commission are available on the City of Dublin website. The application deadline for both positions is Friday, March 29, 2019, at 5:00 PM.
Lunchtime Recycling Program-Volunteers Needed
Fallon Middle School is starting a new lunchtime recycling program, and is requesting parent volunteers to help the students with throwing garbage and recyclables into the correct bins. This program will begin on April 8, 2019. Please sign up here if you would like to help.
At Fallon's Open House on Thursday, April 25th. PFC will be hosting a multicultural fair with food and performances. We are looking for groups or individuals to showcase their cultural uniqueness through song, dance or art. Fallon is a wonderfully diverse community, and we would love to see a wide variety of different cultures represented in this event. If you are interested in helping coordinate or showcasing your culture as part of this event, please contact the event coordinator at email@example.com

8th Grade Dance Information
Your 8th grade student should have received an invitation and permission slip for the promotion dance. Please note, there is a $30 requested donation to cover the dance (DJ, photographer, food, decor, etc), decor for promotion, a class gift, and the last day of school breakfast. These funds were not collected at the beginning of the year. Please turn in $30 with the permission slip to the ASB office by April 19. Please see the flier here.
Donations Needed for One Dublin Middle School Dance
On Friday, March 22, Fallon, Wells and Cottonwood will have a joint dance event. The dance will be held at Wells.
The leadership teachers at Wells have reached out asking for parent support in the form of donations. Their ‘food court’ for the dance is typically supplied through parent donations.

Congratulations to the Fallon Chess Team
The Fallon Chess team was runner-up in the Middle School Championship of the State Tournament in Santa Clara on March 9-10. Fallon sent 40+ players and was led by 8th grader Evan Ai who won the individual High School championship! The Fallon team, which was middle school co-champion in 2018, did win four other sections at the tournament. More information can be found on their Facebook page.
Save the Date for 8th-Grade Promotion Ceremony
The promotion ceremony for this year's 8th-grade students will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30th at Dublin High School. Please mark your calendars now for this annual event. Details will follow after the winter break.
