Fallontine Week Spirit Days
February 11th starts our next spirit week! Don't forget to check out the flyer for all the fun days and take part!
Fallontine Dance is just days away! On Thursday, February 14th, come ready for a 1960s Drive in & Diner theme! The dance is from 6:00-8:30pm! If you haven't purchased your ticket, be sure to do so at the ASB desk before the end of the day Thursday the 14th! Also, be sure to turn in the dance permission slip at the ASB desk with $5 for a ticket.
Students who purchased an All-Dance Pass at the beginning of the year don't need to do anything except show up! Tickets are sold during Brunch, Lunch and After School starting Monday, February 11, but sales end at LUNCH on February 14. Tickets are NOT sold at the dance.
Elective Scheduling for 2019-2020 School Year-Note the Time Change!
Yep, it’s that time, believe it or not! It’s time to start planning for NEXT school year! During elective periods on Friday, 2/8, 6th and 7th grade students received the list of elective courses we anticipate offering at Fallon next year. The Elective Course Descriptions were provided during their Elective, Intervention, or Tutorial class. Plus APPLICATIONS for select electives are available on grade-level Google Classrooms and in the office.
All next week during AP, Fallon is hosting a week-long Elective Open House! Students will learn about all the exciting electives we have planned by visiting Elective AP sessions in various classrooms across our campus. The Elective Open House schedule is posted on your child's grade-level Google Classroom.
Mark your calendars! On Tuesday, February 19th at 6:00pm, we will be hosting an Elective Scheduling Parent Night for all current 6th and 7th grade parents. By then, your child will have brought home not only the elective descriptions document, but a pink (current 6th graders) or purple (current 7th graders) Elective Course Request Form. Bring your child's form and all your pending questions about our exciting elective program at Fallon. Attached is a flyer for the event. This event will end promptly at 7:00pm and will be followed by our AVID Parent information night.

The starting and ending times for the middle and high school programs are staggered so if a family has a child in both programs they will be able to drop them off and pick them up without any issues.
High School start and end times – 8 am – 12:45 pm
Middle School start and end times – 8:30 am – 1:15 pm
Session 1 – June 5 – 20
Session 2 – June 24 – July 11 (July 4 & 5 are no class days)

Special Screening of Angst
On March 11, 2019, please join the Tri-Valley SELPA and the Dublin Unified School District for a special screening of "Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety" at the Dublin High School Center for Performing Arts & Education. The goal of the documentary is to raise awareness about anxiety by starting a dialogue between local families, community leaders, and experts. Through candid interviews, the producers utilize the power of film to tell the stories of many kids and teens who discuss their anxiety and its impact on their lives and relationships, as well as how they’ve found solutions and hope. The film also includes a special interview with Michael Phelps, a mental health advocate and one of the greatest athletes of all-time. Free tickets are now available and space is limited! Ms. Jennifer Lidster, the 6th grade counselor at Fallon Middle School is offering a backpack organization class called Backpack Search and Rescue to any and all 6th grade students who need help and/or support with organizing and maintaining a neat and clean backpack.
The class will be offered on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 8:00am to 8:25am in room G5 beginning Tuesday, December 4th.
If your child struggles with organization, this class is meant for him/her. Please feel free to email Ms. Lidster at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Students can come as many days as they need and the class will be offered through the rest of the school year.

Dos Coyotes Border Café is hosting a dine out fundraiser for Fallon Middle School's Bands February 25th through February 28th. Dos Coyotes is at 3191 Crow Canyon Place in San Ramon. 25% of all proceeds will be donated to FMS bands if you present a flyer when ordering. Come enjoy some great food, and support our band students!
Overbooked- A Book Discussion Group

Can't Keep Them on the Shelves- Library Support Campaign
We are very fortunate at Fallon to have a large population of readers. Although we have more than one copy of the popular books, we still do not have enough for the high demand and many students are disappointed and on a long waiting list for the book of their choice.
